Heritage Bank NA is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to handle month-end closings, reconciliations, and collateral reporting. The role supports tax, payroll, and audit processes, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with bank policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining ledger accuracy, assisting with annual reporting, and collaborating with departments to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Two+ years accounting, payroll, banking, or finance experience.
• Bank or related industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Reconcile cash accounts, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries.
• Prepare collateral reports and monitor collateral balances.
• Support tax filings and payroll processing.
• Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and tax information.
