Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Financial Accounting Analyst to support the monthly close by ensuring daily data integrity and accurate financial reporting. You will assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and asset accounting while helping to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software is desirable; Axiom preferred.
• Experience with Avid and Navan is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily reconciliation process.
• Support journal entries and month-end close activities.
• Maintain AP/AR balances and resolve items timely.
• Follow up on aging items, processing systematics, unclaimed deposits, suspense, wires.
• Assist in Fixed Assets, Prepaid Assets, and WIP accounting.
• Support other departmental functions as needed.
• Contribute to process enhancements for the financial close.
• Identify and deploy automation opportunities and AI use cases.
