Burlington Stores, Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst II in Accounts Payable to support the AP Director. You will help improve financial and operational controls, reporting, and processes while collaborating with Finance, Supply Chain, Vendor Relations and Merchandising.

The role requires 3–5 years in Finance/Accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and strong analytical skills. You will assist with audits, training, and ad-hoc reporting to leadership and partners.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years Finance/Accounting experience; Retail a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Understanding of Accounts Payable, business and inventory policies.
• Strong communication with management, peers and external parties.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to hire and staff appropriately.
• Ability to work with associates at all levels.
• Understanding of business processes and seasonal trends.
• Adaptability to changing business environment.
• Adherence to financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review weekly/monthly reporting and client deliverables.
• Support audits and special projects.
• Provide guidance on processes, tools and best practices; assist with training.
• Collaborate across Finance, Supply Chain, Vendor Relations and Merchandising.
• Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly AP department reporting.
• Complete ad-hoc reporting for AP/Finance leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Use financial data to provide actionable insights to drive results.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and analytics across AP.
• Apply accounting principles and internal controls in daily work.
• Develop financial models and templates in Excel for finance team.
• Research and resolve inquiries from stakeholders and clients.
• Ensure compliance with policies and GAAP; assist with SOX.
