A leading media and entertainment company seeks a Senior Financial Analyst 2 to support financial reporting and business management for broadcast news shows through budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.

Senior Financial Analyst 2 Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain recurring financial reporting cycles across multiple broadcast news shows, including reported actual costs, monthly financial reporting, budget-versus-actual commentary, and data integrity.
• Support the preparation, review, and consolidation of annual operating budgets and Long Range Plans, including monthly forecasts, while partnering with financial and business colleagues and finance leads to evaluate and manage budgets.
• Track cost and budget performance at the individual story and segment levels, flag overruns, support show-level and portfolio-level reporting, and own segment-level budgeting for a broadcast news program.
• Perform variance analysis, identify and reclassify miscoded expenses, and provide financial insights to leadership while supporting executives and executive producers in understanding financial results and strategy.
• Lead ad hoc financial analysis and support day-to-day financial requests while contributing to reporting system development and the transformation to a new enterprise finance system.

Senior Financial Analyst 2 Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of related work experience, including forecasting and budgeting experience, ideally in media/entertainment.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills in a reporting-heavy environment.
• Highly analytical, with the ability to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives of business results, including the use of AI tools to accelerate analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, SmartView, EDMCS, or similar enterprise finance systems is preferred.
• Experience with Power BI is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving production environment, with strong attention to detail for recurring formula and data integrity work.
• Interest in understanding the ins and outs of broadcast news production is preferred.
• Prior media or entertainment experience is preferred.
• Personal interest in working in production is preferred.

Shift:

• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• On-site at multiple offices. Days at each office are to be determined.
