POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing coordination and/or collection of relevant financial data to prepare and interpret financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide all levels of management with information necessary for planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The role ensures financial data and reporting are maintained and updated in partnership with Finance to ensure accuracy.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Provide financial and technical expertise to management by effectively communicating financial information and recommendations.
2. Collaborate with departments to gather and interpret financial data, maintaining the integrity of financial and forecasting files.
3. Consolidate information from key financial processes within the Banner IT organization, including budgets, forecasts, and cost management.
4. Perform financial analysis and business case assessments using spreadsheet models and financial software.
5. Identify trends and variances through review of reports and analysis.
6. Coordinate staff resources to ensure compliance with IT reporting requirements and generate financial reports.
7. Develop financial models and demonstrate critical thinking to analyze data relevant to work efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Approximately five years’ experience in healthcare financial management/analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, databases, spreadsheets, and financial modeling.
• Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work independently.
