Hunter Industries seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead the financial story of a key business unit, building models, dashboards, and analyses that drive decisions. The role partners with Sales, Operations, Accounting, HR, and IS to align planning with realities.

The candidate brings 5+ years in FP&A, strong BI tool fluency (Oracle Fusion EPM, Smart View, Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics), and excellent communication to present results to leadership and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in manufacturing or consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Owns the financials for the designated business unit from top to bottom.
• Builds and maintains BI dashboards and automated reporting using Oracle Fusion EPM, Smart View, Power BI, and IBM Planning Analytics.
• Presents quarterly financial performance to leadership and partners, translating analysis into actionable narratives.
• Builds complex financial models to analyze pricing, margins, and new product development; runs scenarios.
• Reviews cost and manufacturing analytics; follows material costs through to results.
• Identifies opportunities for financial and operational improvements and leads cross‑department initiatives.

Job description

Hunter Industries is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial leadership of multiple business units within Hunter Industries, acting as a trusted strategic partner to business unit leaders and external partners alike. This role owns the full financial story of the business unit — building the models, dashboards, and analysis that turn raw data into decisions, and presenting results with the clarity and confidence of someone who truly knows the numbers.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:

• Serves as the go-to financial partner (“the CFO”) for your designated business unit — owning its financials top to bottom and being the trusted source for all related inquiries.
• Builds and maintains BI dashboards and automated reporting using tools such as Oracle Fusion EPM, Smart View, Microsoft Power BI, and IBM Planning Analytics to deliver timely, accurate financial performance insights.
• Presents quarterly (and as-needed) financial performance to business partners, leadership, and cross-functional groups, translating complex analysis into clear, actionable narratives.
• Builds and maintains complex financial models to analyze pricing, margins, valuation, new product development, and sensitivity/scenario analytics.
• Reviews cost and manufacturing analytics; understand how material costs and manufacturing plans flow through to financial results.
• Identifies opportunities for financial and operational improvement and lead cross-department initiatives to drive change.
• Partners closely with Sales, Operations, Accounting, HR, and IS to align financial planning with operational realities.
• Builds business acumen through ongoing dialogue with internal and external partners, and develop relationships grounded in mutual information sharing.
• Supports annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning cycles for assigned business units.

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience Required and Preferred:

• Minimum of five years of progressive finance/FP&A experience, ideally including exposure to manufacturing, consumer products, or a similarly complex operating environment.

What You Bring:

• Proficient with technical planning and BI tools, including Oracle Fusion EPM, Smart View, Power BI and IBM Planning Analytics.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; comfortable presenting financial results to leadership and external partners.
• Self-motivated and resourceful in sourcing, structuring, and reporting financial analytics.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, self-initiate activities, and organize workload to meet deadlines.
• Skilled at setting goals and objectives and driving timelines to achieve them.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing organizational needs in a fast-paced environment.
