Hunter Industries is seeking a Director of Global HR Operations & Technology to serve as a strategic leader responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing a global HR service delivery model that enables business performance and enhances employee experience. This role leads HR Shared Services, HR technology, people analytics, governance, and operational compliance across manufacturing and corporate environments. You will partner closely with HR leadership, IT, Finance, and business leaders to drive operational excellence, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and risk mitigation. This role ensures HR operations are standardized, scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise strategy.

Essential Functions:

Strategic Leadership & Transformation

  • Develops and executes a multi-year HR Operations and Technology strategy aligned with enterprise objectives and workforce strategy.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to HR leadership and executive stakeholders on operational scalability, digital enablement, service delivery, and workforce infrastructure.
  • Drives enterprise-wide change management initiatives related to HR systems, service delivery, and compliance.
  • Establishes governance frameworks that ensure sustainable, scalable, and risk-mitigated HR operations.

HR Shared Services & Service Delivery

  • Leads and continuously improves a global HR Shared Services function supporting employees, managers, and HR partners across manufacturing plants and corporate functions, balancing standardization with regional flexibility and business-specific needs.
  • Standardizes and optimizes global HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hire-to-retire).
  • Defines, measures, and optimizes SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive superior service delivery, data accuracy, and operational excellence.
  • Designs scalable service models, escalation frameworks, and knowledge management structures.
  • Provides implementation guidance and consultative support to leadership on HR policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
  • Serves as business product owner for HR technology, partnering with IT to shape and execute the technology roadmap in alignment with HR leadership and enterprise strategy.
  • Serves as the business product owner for HR systems, including HCM, time and attendance, recruiting, learning platforms, performance management, and digital service tools.
  • Identifies and prioritizes opportunities to apply digital tools - ticketing, knowledge platforms, AI-enabled tools, automation, and chatbots - in partnership with IT, to improve efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
  • Co-owns system implementations, integrations, and upgrades in partnership with IT delivery; co-govern technology vendor relationships through HR business ownership and IT vendor management.
  • Drives digitization and automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve cycle times, and enhance data integrity.
  • Partners with IT Security to ensure HR systems meet enterprise security and data privacy standards; ensure HR-specific regulatory adherence (employment law, FLSA, FMLA, GDPR for employee data) across global operations.

People Data & Analytics

  • Builds and leads a global people analytics function delivering actionable insights to HR and business leaders.
  • Defines enterprise workforce metrics, dashboards, and reporting aligned to strategic priorities such as labor cost optimization, productivity, retention, and talent planning.
  • Translates workforce data into strategic insights that inform executive decision-making.
  • Partners with enterprise data governance to establish HR data standards aligned to enterprise definitions, lineage, and access patterns; ensures HR-specific data quality, consistency, accuracy, and completeness for global reporting integrity

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on local, state, federal, and international employment laws and regulatory requirements. Partners with legal counsel to maintain compliant global HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensures operational compliance across all HR systems and processes, maintaining audit readiness and strong internal controls.
  • Oversees documentation standards, risk mitigation practices, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Supports employee relations matters from an operational and compliance perspective.

Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Leads, develops, and engages a high-performing HR Operations and Technology team.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer focus, and operational excellence.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Lean/Six Sigma, or process improvement certification and SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Experience Required:

  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience with significant focus on HR operations, including a minimum of 5 years leading HR operations, shared services, HRIS/HR tech, or people analytics teams in complex, multi-site/global environments.

Experience Preferred:

  • Leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR Shared Services or centralized service delivery models.
  • Implementing or optimizing enterprise HCM platforms.
  • Supporting a manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based workforce.

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across HR functions, including designing, standardizing, and optimizing end-to-end processes to improve efficiency, quality, cost, cycle time, accuracy, and employee experience using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Proven leadership capability to lead cross-functional teams and complex, multi-site initiatives, effectively guiding organizations through change, influencing stakeholders, and implementing sustainable process improvements.
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end HR operational processes, shared services models, HR systems, process design, and data analytics, with strong systems thinking and digital acumen to design scalable workflows, governance structures, and service delivery models.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, with the ability to accurately interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations to resolve personnel and administrative matters while ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to apply data-driven decision-making and advanced analytical skills to evaluate processes, identify trends, and develop actionable solutions that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing workforce operations, including plant-based environments, timekeeping systems, payroll interfaces, shift operations, and related compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including HRIS platforms, spreadsheets, and related technology tools used to support HR operations and reporting.
  • Strong detail orientation with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
