Job summary

Dream Resorts is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support accurate financial reporting across the Dream Resorts family of brands, including Beachview Rentals in Newport Beach. You will prepare, analyze, and deliver timely information, focusing on monthly close, variance analysis, and data integrity.

You will build advanced financial models, implement data validation protocols, and collaborate with the finance team to improve processes, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or business or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with 1-2 years in a senior role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis capabilities.
• Proven experience using a variety of software and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct variance analysis by scrutinizing Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements to identify, explain, and correct variances.
• Extract and analyze large data sets across various platforms, with a focus on synthesizing complex financial information.
• Establish strict data validation protocols to eliminate analytical reporting errors and improve data integrity.
• Facilitate process improvement and continuously refine financial processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support other Finance team members and functions, including month-end journal entries, financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.

About this Position

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a central role in the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of financial reporting across Dream Resorts and its family of brands. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position prepares, analyzes, and delivers timely financial information for the Company and its Clients, with a key focus on the workflows, systems, and controls that make that reporting faster, cleaner, and more reliable over time. The work spans routine reporting cycles such as month-end close, variance analysis, and reconciliations, as well as forward-looking projects such as building advanced financial models and designing the data validation protocols that keep our reporting sound as the business grows.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working deep in the numbers, takes pride in getting the details right, and sees opportunities to strengthen how the Finance team works. The ideal candidate pairs strong technical and analytical skills with a process-improvement mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate process improvement and continuously refine financial processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Support other Finance team members and functions as assigned, including participating in the preparation of month end journal entries, financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.

Skills & Competencies

• Expert in dealing with financial and numerical data and the use of excel spreadsheets, including vlookups, pivot tables, and financial modeling
• Advanced proficiency in a variety of technology applications and ability to quickly learn new systems. Experience with implementing new software is highly valued.
• Excellent judgment, problem solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong planning and organizing, project management and communication skills
• Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, in a deadline driven environment
• Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities

• Reports directly to the Director of Finance

Requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000
