Job summary

Dream Resorts in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive accuracy and improvement of financial reporting across the Dream Resorts family. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position prepares, analyzes, and delivers timely financial information for the Company and its Clients, with a focus on workflows, systems, and controls that keep reporting fast, clean, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or business or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with 1-2 years in a senior role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis capabilities.
• Proven experience using a variety of software and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct variance analysis by scrutinizing Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements to identify, explain, and correct variances.
• Extract and analyze large data sets across various platforms, with a focus on synthesizing complex financial information.
• Establish strict data validation protocols to eliminate analytical reporting errors and improve data integrity.
• Facilitate process improvement and continuously refine financial processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support other Finance team members and functions as assigned, including preparing month end journal entries, financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
