The role blends financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while collaborating on pricing and strategic initiatives. The work is primarily remote with periodic onsite engagement and requires residency in WI/MN for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or data science related field.
• Five or more years in Finance/Accounting, or three years as a financial analyst at a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts including cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and ALM.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as a strategic financial consultant to assigned business units by developing a deep understanding of their operations, goals, opportunities, and challenges. Lead increasingly complex financial and data analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, business case development, and reporting or visualization of financial information. Translate financial results and performance metrics into clear insights and actionable recommendations; challenge assumptions and help leaders evaluate alternatives, risks, and tradeoffs. Collaborate with senior leadership on large-scope projects, pricing and profitability decisions, and strategic initiatives.

• Compensation:
• Eau Claire Market: $112,000 - $134,500 annually.
• St. Croix Valley/Minnesota Market: $128,900 - $154,800 annually.
• This is an exempt-level, salaried position. (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What’s Needed For This Position:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, data science related field
• Five (5) years of experience working in Finance/Accounting or three (3) years of financial analyst experience at a Financial Institution.
• Expertise in financial services and financial concepts, including working knowledge of advanced or complex accounting principles, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, profitability analysis, and asset liability management concepts. Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks, exercise sound judgment, and develop practical recommendations for work that is complex in nature.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with knowledge of data-mining tools and techniques, including Monarch and SQL. Skilled in financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting tools, data visualization, and financial technologies, with an expert understanding of Microsoft Excel. Able to connect detailed analysis to broader business strategy and clearly explain financial implications to non-financial audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interviewing, active listening, consultation, and presentation skills. Ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders, ask insightful questions, influence decisions, constructively challenge assumptions, and adapt communication for financial and non-financial audiences. Ability to write clear reports and business correspondence, present recommendations effectively, respond to questions from groups of leaders, and demonstrate a strong sense of customer service.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and maintain meticulous attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple deadlines, changing priorities, frequent interruptions, high work volumes, and time constraints while readily learning and using new technologies and Royal’s digital solutions.
• Must be bondable upon hire.

We’d Love To See:

Work Schedule/ Location:

• Full-Time salaried position; Hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed.
• This position is designed to support a highly collaborative and flexible work environment. Team members primarily work remotely while maintaining regular engagement with business partners and the Finance team.
• Periodic onsite attendance at Royal's Corporate Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is required for meetings, planning sessions, and other business needs. Frequency will vary based on organizational priorities and project demands.

• This position requires residency within Royal’s office footprint of WI/MN

Training:

• Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
