AMP is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst who will be remote in the United States.

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to our Sr. Manager, Corporate Finance. They will work closely with our Finance and Accounting teams while getting exposure to executive management. The focus will be helping create transparency in how our business is measured and improved upon. The key responsibilities of the role will be related to financial forecasting and budgeting, reporting, and project modeling.

As our Senior Financial Analyst, you will work to:

  • Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes and track variances of actuals to projections on an ongoing basis
  • Prepare recurring financial reporting packages for management and investors, especially focusing on financial variance explanations and KPIs over applicable time periods
  • Provide financial analysis and decision-making support to our business unit leaders and executive leadership
  • Ensure the AMP Corporate Model reflects the latest business assumptions, including revenue projections, capital expenditures, and financing activities
  • Provide regular financial updates to department leaders, including variance analysis and explanations, performance versus projections, and continuous cost forecast updates with a focus on transparency and accountability
  • Provide FP&A support to our Accounting team to enable prompt close of monthly books and thorough variance explanations
  • Analyze key business trends and report findings to management, with particular emphasis on identifying opportunities for improvements (cost efficiencies / expense reductions; various profitability analyses to generate actionable insights)
  • Strengthen internal financial forecasting and analysis processes, controls, and efficiencies across the organization, including through the use of various financial reporting tools
  • Support commercial team in various project modeling exercises, including pricing and returns analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board of Directors presentations

The successful candidate will have:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of related experience in FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, corporate banking or similar financial role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including ability to own and execute complex analyses (e.g. scenario modeling) and synthesize data into understandable key points for senior leadership
  • Deep understanding of the three main financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Innate intellectual curiosity (you are comfortable asking questions and taking the initiative to dig into variances)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work productively in a fast paced environment
  • Critical thinking prowess, with a keen ability to draw insights from raw data and deliver concise, actionable findings tailored to different management levels
  • Strong business communication skills
  • Business analytics and/or data visualization tool experience a plus (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • NetSuite or similar ERP experience (including with related FP&A software planning / forecasting tools) preferred

Salary & compensation information: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Equity Grant: The candidate selected for this role will be recommended for a stock option grant commensurate with the position and the candidate's qualifications.
