Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $55.00/hr

JustinBradley's client, a leader in mortgage financing, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their team. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis to support pricing, portfolio management, capital planning, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong quantitative skills, experience in financial modeling, and a solid understanding of mortgage-backed securities and housing finance markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, capital markets activities, and risk assessments related to mortgage loan portfolios and securitization structures.
• Analyze pricing, prepayment trends, credit performance, and market dynamics to support investment and funding decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk, Accounting) to evaluate portfolio performance, liquidity, and capital adequacy.
• Prepare detailed variance analyses comparing actuals vs. forecast and budget, providing meaningful insights to senior leadership.
• Support scenario analysis, stress testing, and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., DFAST, CCAR equivalents where applicable).
• Track macroeconomic indicators and housing market data to assess potential impacts on mortgage asset valuations and portfolio returns.
• Assist in the preparation of executive presentations, board materials, and data packages for investors and regulators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis or FP&A, ideally within the mortgage, financial services, or capital markets sectors.
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or Tableau is a plus.
• Solid understanding of mortgage products, MBS, GSEs, and the structure of the secondary mortgage market.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across functions in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment.
