Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver high-quality financial insights and maintain operational excellence in a challenging market. You will drive FP&A, budgeting, and cost-management initiatives, supporting executive decision making with advanced analysis and strategic planning.

The role requires 6+ years of experience in financial analysis or FP&A, a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, and CPA/CFA is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A or corporate accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• CPA or CFA certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage multi-scenario business plans (Strategic Plans, Annual Budgets, Target Plans) to support corporate goals.
• Execute monthly rolling forecasts by analyzing drivers like production volumes, cost structures, and risks.
• Perform comprehensive financial forecasting and variance analysis (Actual vs Budget/Forecast).
• Oversee budget execution and provide strategic guidance to ensure disciplined spending.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and coordinate for Executive CoE (Cost Engineering) meetings.

Position Summary

The Finance team plays a critical role in driving the company’s profitability through strategic cost-saving initiatives, rigorous budget control, and investment optimization. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst who can deliver high-quality financial insights and maintain operational excellence, particularly in challenging market environments, to support informed executive decision-making.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

FinancialPlanning&Analysis(FP&A)

• Developandmanagemulti-scenariobusinessplans(e.g.,StrategicPlans,AnnualBudgets,TargetPlans)tosupportstrategiccorporategoals.
• Executemonthlyrollingforecastsbyanalyzingkeydrivers,includingproductionvolumes,coststructures,andpotentialbusinessrisks.
• Performcomprehensivefinancialforecastingandvarianceanalysis(Actualvs.Budget/Forecast)toidentifygrowthdriversandactionableinsights.

Budgeting&CostManagement

• Overseecompany-widebudgetexecutionandprovidestrategicguidancetoensuredisciplinedspending.
• Leadcorporatecost-savinginitiativesandserveasakeycoordinatorforExecutiveCoEn(CostEngineering)meetings.
• Managecapitalexpenditures(CAPEX)acrossdepartmentsandconductprojectevaluationstooptimizeROI.
• ReviewandapprovedailybudgetallocationsandPurchaseOrder(PO)requests.

FinancialReporting&ExecutiveDecisionSupport

• Supportmonthly,quarterly,andyear-endP&LclosingprocessesincompliancewithIFRS/GAAPstandards.
• Conductadvancedfinancialanalysisfocusingonkeyperformanceindicators(KPIs)andcostefficiency.
• Preparehigh-impactpresentationmaterialsandad-hocfinancialreportsforseniorleadershipandexecutivereviews.
• Collaboratewithcross-functionalleaderstodrivecontinuousoperationalimprovements.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Experience:Minimumof6+yearsofprofessionalexperienceinfinancialanalysis,FP&A,orcorporateaccounting.

• Education:Bachelor’sdegreeorhigherinFinance,Accounting,Economics,orarelatedfieldfromanaccrediteduniversity.

• Certification:CPAorCFAcertificationishighlypreferred.

• Competencies:Stronganalyticalmindset,proficiencyinadvancedfinancialmodeling,andtheabilitytocommunicatecomplexfinancialdatatonon-financestakeholders.

The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $135,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
