Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an Engineer Team Representative for the Equipment Innovation – Equipment Management Team. The role focuses on Stop Loss and BM reduction for the factory, partnering with Fab Eng on PM Automation, BM analysis, quality improvements, and root-cause analysis.

As a leader you will work to eliminate BM and Stop Loss problems by driving cross-functional initiatives, data-driven improvements, and executive-level project deployments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, natural science, or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Previous leadership role with direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with FAB Engineering to improve Unit Parts metrics.
• Collect data and analyze Stop Loss and BM reductions.
• Lead cross-functional projects with executive visibility.
• Manage TFT activities to improve Stop Loss factory-wide.
• Communicate results to peers and executives.

Position Summary

In your role as an Engineer Team Representative for the Equipment Innovation – Equipment Management Team. This team is focused on Stop Loss and BM reduction for the factory via joint-work with Fab Eng on PM Automation, BM analysis, Quality Improvements, and Root Cause Analysis.

As a leader you will work together to eliminate BM and Stop Loss problems.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• DemonstrateeffectivecollaborationwithFABEngineeringtoimproveUnitPartmetrics.


• Datacollection,analysis,andcollaborativeimprovementsofUnitPartperformanceinStopLossReduction,BMReduction,MTTP Improvement,G-EMSstandardization,andPMAutomation.


• ParticipateandManageTFTsactivitiestoimproveStopLossfactory wide.


• Collaboratewithengineering,manufacturing,SisterFabs,support groups,andexecutivestoensurecompliancetoexternalandinternal specificationsandguidance.


• Leadthedeploymentofmediumtolarge-scaleprojectsthatarecross-functionalinnatureandhavevisibilitytocompanyexecutives.


• AnalyzeandmakerecommendationstohelpimproveStopLossmajor andminorindicesforeachdepartment’sprocessesandprograms.


• Communicatetheresultsofanalysis,driveimprovementsandshare withpeers,managers,andexecutives.


• Studyopportunitiesanddriveimplementationwiththeunitparts,including2ndsourcequal,lifetimeextension,usagereduction,repairloops,part deliverytimes,andotherLDTevents.


• Projectmanagement,Daily/Weekly/Monthlymetricreporting,and statusupdates.


• Enforcerules&systemsbasedoperationtoallemployeeswhile ensuringSASproceduresarecontinuouslyevolvingandcurrent.


• Thepositionwillrequireanextensiveamountoftimeworkingdirectly withandsupportingtheengineeringteamfunctions.


• Expectationistohaveproficiencyinprojectmanagement,reporting, datavisualization,anddata-mining.


• S1&S2StopLosscomparisonandcollaborationonanalysisand improvementprojects.

Skills and Qualifications

• BSdegreein engineering,naturalscienceorrelatedfieldpreferred


• 7+yearsofengineeringexperiencepreferred


• Previousexperienceinaleadershippositionwithdirectreports


• KnowledgeofLineKPIreBM,StopLoss,EE,Rundown,OEE


• ExperiencewithFabandreportingsystems.G-EMSandWorkordertrackingisamustAdditionally,Workplace,DSS,GPM,SimaxOI,TPSS,MARSPrime,Spotfire.


• ExperiencewithSQLordatascrapingaplus.


• FamiliarwithCustomerRelations,SCM,andPMPconcepts.

The current base salary range for this role is between $147,000 and $244,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors such as duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may also provide opportunities for participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on organizational and individual performance.
