Job description

Ready to take your career global? At Global Payments, accurate financial insights drive smarter decisions, stronger performance, and new opportunities for growth. As part of a global leader in payments, our Financial Analysts turn complex financial data into clear insights that influence business strategy, strengthen financial controls, and shape how we move forward.

What you’ll own
  • Drive financial planning and forecasting.
  • Own complex budget analyses, financial plans, revenue forecasts, and performance reporting that give senior leaders clear visibility into business results, emerging trends, and opportunities for growth.
  • Turn financial data into business insight. Analyze financial performance, revenue targets, and year-to-date budgets to identify variances, uncover root causes, and recommend actions that improve financial outcomes and inform business decisions.
  • Strengthen reporting accuracy and financial controls. Lead the review of monthly income statements, balance sheets, journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end reporting to maintain reliable financial records and meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Influence decisions through clear financial reporting. Develop and review financial analyses, management reports, and presentations that translate complex information into actionable insights for senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Protect financial integrity through audit readiness. Own complex audit requests, deliver accurate and timely information, identify potential risks, and address process issues to strengthen audit outcomes and maintain compliance.
  • Shape better accounting practices. Interpret changes in accounting standards and regulations, assess their impact on financial processes, and recommend improvements to methodologies, systems, and controls that keep the business compliant and efficient.
  • Raise the standard of team performance. Review financial work, share technical expertise, and coach less experienced colleagues to strengthen accounting knowledge, improve accuracy, and build confidence across the team.
  • Create more effective financial processes. Influence the development and implementation of accounting systems, cost accounting methods, procedures, and budgetary controls that improve consistency, efficiency, and the quality of financial information.
What you bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or a relevant professional qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
  • At least three years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with advanced professional accounting expertise and a track record of delivering accurate, reliable financial outcomes.
  • Proven analytical skills, with the ability to investigate complex financial issues, identify root causes, evaluate different approaches, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and confidence working with financial systems and data. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Hyperion Financial Management, or Hyperion Planning is a plus.
  • The judgment and accountability to take ownership of complex assignments, make informed decisions, and influence stakeholders across teams and areas of expertise.
  • A collaborative, improvement-focused mindset, with the ability to share knowledge, coach colleagues, and identify opportunities to strengthen processes and raise the standard of financial performance.
  • A CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • It’s a bonus if you have:
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting requirements, audit standards, and applicable accounting regulations.
  • Experience working in a shared services, BPO, or multinational environment.
