Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a Lead Financial Aid Advisor, Client Services, to lead the Office of Student Financial Aid staff, oversee award processes, and advise students and families on federal, state, and institutional aid programs. You will ensure accurate awards, compliance, and timely reporting across the office.

You will supervise daily operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with campus partners to improve financial aid processing and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience is required.
• Experience leading financial aid teams and advising students/parents on aid processes.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state/university aid policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Financial Aid Advisors and support staff.
• Advise students and parents regarding federal, state and institutional aid.
• Award, cancel and revise financial aid awards per policy and regulations.
• Remain current on federal, state, and institutional regulations and office policies.
• Mentor and train new or entry-level staff.
