Job summary

Augusta University’s Office of Student Financial Aid seeks a dedicated professional to determine eligibility and manage awarding of financial aid from federal, state, and institutional sources. You will counsel students, assist with FAFSA, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations to help enroll and retain students in need.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in financial aid, customer or financial services or related work experience.
• Experience with Department of Education software (FAA Access, NSLDS, COD, Return to Title IV, etc.) and Ellucian Banner and CampusLogic.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to maintain compliance with FERPA and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and families regarding financial aid eligibility, available aid programs, disbursement procedures, and renewal requirements.
• Assist with FAFSA submissions, documentation requirements, and navigating the verification process.
• Review, reconcile, and verify data to ensure accuracy and audit readiness; communicate with external agencies for fund disbursement.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and perform Return to Title IV calculations.
• Support department initiatives, provide training, and collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, Academic Advising, and Student Accounts.
