Job summary

Manus is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant in Augusta, GA on-site to lead financial data management, asset tracking (CIP and fixed assets), and annual statements while supporting ASC 842 lease accounting and tax matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of US GAAP experience, strong Excel and SAP Business ByDesign skills, and a proven ability to analyze trends, coordinate audits, and partner with engineering and operations to drive cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of US GAAP accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting (CIP/AUC).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time management and ability to work independently.
• Ability to interact with vendors, contractors, and other business contacts.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; SAP Business ByDesign proficiency.
• CPA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Gather and monitor financial data and prepare internal statements.
• Manage Construction in Process (CIP) and fixed assets including depreciation.
• Analyze financial trends and draft annual statements and notes.
• Process intercompany eliminations and support month-end close.
• Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842 with related assets and liabilities.
• Draft accounting recommendations and ensure legal/regulatory compliance.
• Monitor expenses and reconcile ledgers across cost centers and profit centers.
• Support external audits with work papers and control reviews.
• Oversee annual tax filings and fees management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
