Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Finance Manager to influence product and engineering decisions through high-precision forecasting and complex financial modeling. You will partner with Product & Engineering leaders to scale the product roadmap, building actionable insights and reliable financial plans.

The role demands clear communication with senior leadership, rigorous analysis, and a proactive approach to driving value through financial discipline.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in tech, banking, PE, finance, or consulting.
• Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel/Google).
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; influence senior leaders.
• Experience with planning tools (Adaptive, Hyperion).

Responsibilities

• Lead partner to Product Development leadership with financial and non-financial analyses for business decisions.
• Build financial models for product launches (TAM/SAM/SOM, ARR targets, COGS, Opex).
• Perform ongoing and ad hoc analyses; synthesize data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Deliver reporting on financial and operational KPIs; monitor trends and assess risks.
• Establish processes with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems and forecast accuracy.
• Own budgeting and internal/external reporting processes with close collaboration with the Controller’s group.
