Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Analyst to support its finance and accounting team in financial reporting, data analysis, and process improvements. The role blends core accounting with opportunities to enhance data quality, reporting tools, dashboards, and automation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting or financial reporting foundation, experience handling complex data, and an interest in using technology to streamline finance processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, SEC or regulatory reporting, or related field.
• Financial services experience required, either in industry or via audits.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external financial reporting, recurring packages, and ad hoc analysis.
• Assist with close activities, variance analysis, and quarter/year-end reporting.
• Prepare audit support and documentation.
• Reconcile and explain complex data sets across multiple sources.
• Build or improve reports, dashboards, and data outputs using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, strengthen controls, automate manual work, and streamline reporting processes.
• Contribute to projects involving reporting, systems, data governance, and finance process improvement.
• Partner with colleagues across finance, accounting, audit, and tech.
