Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Lead Finance Business Partner for our Mission Technologies portfolio to influence strategic decisions, drive performance, and lead a finance team. You will partner with senior leaders on complex programmes across defence, aerospace and engineering sectors at our Bristol site, contributing to national capability and security.

The role is full-time with hybrid office and home working, requiring senior stakeholder engagement, security clearance and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Finance Business Partnering or commercial finance leadership role.
• Proven ability to influence, challenge and engage senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership experience with managing and developing finance professionals.
• Experience supporting complex programmes, contracts, or projects in a large organisation.
• Excellent commercial acumen translating financials into business insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the provision of financial support and insight to programme and operational leadership teams.
• Drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning across programmes and contracts.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve performance.
• Lead preparation and presentation of financial reporting, forecasts, and commentary to senior management.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities while driving margin, profitability, and cash initiatives.
