Job summary

Pine Crest School seeks an Assistant Vice President of Finance and Operations to provide strategic financial leadership across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and internal controls for Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton campuses.

The AVP will partner with the VP of Finance and Operations, lead a high-performing finance team, and drive financial systems improvements in a complex PK-12 independent school environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
• An experienced financial leader with strong technical expertise and sound judgment.
• A collaborative partner who values transparency, service, and shared leadership.
• Skilled at translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
• Comfortable operating in a sophisticated, high‑expectations environment.
• Motivated by mission and energized by contributing to a thriving school community.
• CFO experience in complex PK-12 independent schools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year modeling.
• Manage accounting operations, audits, compliance, and internal controls.
• Provide financial reporting, data analysis, and decision support for senior leadership.
• Oversee cash flow and treasury management in partnership with the VP.
• Oversee facilities and auxiliary programs, including dining services and revenue‑generating operations.
• Develop and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Support select institutional initiatives and special projects with the VP and senior leadership.
