Job summary

Scahill Law Group is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to own the firm’s day-to-day financial operations. This hands-on role covers banking, cash management, reconciliations, payroll support, and related financial processes, with collaboration with an external accounting firm.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and collaborative, capable of understanding existing processes and driving improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial operations, bookkeeping, finance administration, or a related position.
• Strong experience with accounts payable, banking, cash management, and account reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks; QuickBooks Desktop preferred.
• Ability to understand and review financial reports (P&L) and identify discrepancies.
• Experience with payroll administration; ADP experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee banking, treasury and cash management activities and daily cash position.
• Manage accounts payable processes, vendor invoices, and timely payments.
• Maintain QuickBooks Desktop data, perform reconciliations and ensure accurate categorization.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports for leadership.
• Support payroll processing and benefits administration (ADP) and 401(k) processes.
• Coordinate with affiliated entity and outside accountants for tax and reporting needs.
• Help maintain internal controls around receipt and disbursement of funds.
