Job summary

Meltzer Hellrung LLC is seeking a hands-on finance operations leader to own general ledger, close, reconciliations and cash forecasting. You will drive internal controls, budgets, rolling forecasts and budget-to-actual reporting in a fast-growing law firm environment.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in accounting with Controller or Accounting Manager experience, advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online proficiency, and familiarity with professional-services accounting and trust/IOLTA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on Controller or Accounting Manager work.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with QuickBooks Online are required.

Responsibilities

• Own internal controls, budget, rolling forecasts, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Prepare monthly statements, 13-week cash forecasts, and consolidated reporting.
• Manage the close calendar, staff reviews, and accounting systems implementations.
