The role leads accounting staff across accounts payable/receivable, audits, budgeting, and external reporting, partnering with communities to ensure compliance and accurate financial forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 10 years of accounting experience or training.
• 5 years supervising a multi-person accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Accounting staff to include general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial systems.
• Liaise with Communities on accounting policy, procedure, and training.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
• Manage online banking and treasury management functions.
• Manage short-term cash flow (7-30 day) and cash controls.
• Serve as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues.
• Oversee monthly financial close and related reporting to ensure timely completions.
• Maintain accounting support schedules including insurance, loans, fixed assets, depreciation, and tax.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, manage preparation and support of audits.
• Manage annual budget process and assist communities and departments in budget preparation.
• Develop and maintain finance and accounting policies and procedures in compliance with standards.
