Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our financial strategy and oversee the accounting function. This role partners with executives to align financial goals with business objectives and requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can drive performance.

You will manage budgeting and forecasting, coordinate month-end closes and reporting, oversee audits and compliance, and mentor the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with proven success in a Controller or similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with audits and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning with executive leadership to align goals with business objectives.
• Budget Oversight: manage budgeting across departments with forecasting and performance analysis.
• Accounting Team Leadership: direct and mentor the accounting department for accuracy and compliance.
• Month-End & Reporting: coordinate close processes and deliver timely financial statements.
• Audit & Compliance: handle audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
