Job summary

Kightlinger & Gray, LLP is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, firm accounts and budgets. This high-exposure role participates in Finance, Management, and Partnership meetings, providing oversight of AP/AR, banking, billing, cash flow, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Lead the accounting team, present fact-based proposals, and communicate with professional poise to drive the firm’s financial performance.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of full-spectrum accounting (AP/AR, GL, cash flow, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels.
• Proven leadership of a accounting team toward firm deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and staff.
• Manage firm accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Present analyses and recommendations to Finance Committee and leadership.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and external audits are coordinated.
• Maintain bank accounts, billing processes, and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with Directors and committees on annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor insurance programs and oversee financial controls.
