Job summary

Nelsen Corporation seeks a proactive Controller to lead its accounting team at the Medina, Ohio location. This senior management role oversees financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and strategic analysis, reporting to the President and partnering with leadership to drive profitability across locations.

The position offers a full-time schedule, competitive salary of $100,000 to $130,000 per year, plus health, retirement, disability, life insurance, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Proven leadership of finance teams.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and KPI development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and related activities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial statements and management reporting.
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements and cash-flow reporting for leadership.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to protect assets.
• Coordinate audits, tax support, and regulatory reporting for multiple locations.
