Job summary

Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The role partners with the CFO and guides staff in accurate accounting and internal controls across multiple departments.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, 9+ years in accounting, non-profit/government experience, GAAP/GASB familiarity, and at least two years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business is required.
• 9+ years’ experience in accounting/business, non-profit/government experience and GAAP/GASB familiarity preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, cash and banking reconciliations, fixed assets, grant and contract accounting, audit preparation, and internal controls.
• Provide financial leadership to accounting staff and work with CFO.
• Review financial activity, variances, and budgeting; communicate issues to CFO.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and financial planning.
