Job summary

Arona Home Essentials is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage and support accounting teams across business units. You will oversee financial reporting, budgets, and audits, and ensure timely, accurate statements for management and external stakeholders.

You will drive process improvements, lead month-end close, and ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls. Strong communication and team leadership are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of related accounting experience.
• Experience with General Ledger software.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
• Leadership and team management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting teams across various business units and support the director of accounting.
• Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, cash control, and corporate payroll tax compliance.
• Oversee the activities of accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.
• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting process and technology initiatives.
• Provide accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
