Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) seeks a Controller to lead the finance function for the Gigafactory project in Greenville, SC. This role manages capital and project financial management, forecasts, funding compliance, internal controls, and ERP/process design while partnering with PPS and Corporate teams.

The position evolves to full Gigafactory Controller as operations commence, including accounting, FP&A, cost accounting, inventory, and financial planning across site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including prior Controller or comparable full-scope financial leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing finance or accounting experience, including standard costing, inventory valuation, cost accounting, and financial close ownership.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant public-company environment with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with major capital projects, greenfield operations, or comparable business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance business partner for the Gigafactory development, construction, equipment installation, commissioning, and readiness.
• Develop and maintain integrated project forecasts for capex, opex, accruals, funding, and contingencies.
• Oversee monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in accordance with EnerSys policies.
