KITCO Fiber Optics, Inc. is seeking a Controller to oversee the business unit's accounting operations and to drive financial performance aligned with corporate objectives.

The role requires leadership in a fast-paced, government-contracting environment and will coordinate cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have extensive aerospace/defense experience and a strong background in FAR/DFARS compliance, revenue recognition, and audits, with the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the aerospace and defense sector.
• Deep understanding of government contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and CAS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business performance against financial and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with government contracts, including FAR/DFARS.
• Manage revenue recognition and cost allocation for government programs.
• Develop and maintain internal controls; coordinate audits.
• Lead accounting department and supervise 2–3 direct reports.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting; monitor variances and actions.
• Prepare reports on income, expenses, CAPEX, and earnings.
