Job summary

KITCO Fiber Optics, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Controller to oversee the business unit's accounting operations, including cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.

The role requires leadership experience in the aerospace/defense sector and a strong grasp of government contracts and regulations (FAR/DFARS). You will manage a small accounting team, coordinate audits, and provide financial projections and strategic analysis to support decision making across the Marmon Holdings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of five years in a senior finance role, ideally in aerospace/defense.
• Deep understanding of government contracting regulations including FAR/DFARS and CAS.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
• Experience with audits, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Integrity and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance against financial and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and government contracts.
• Develop and maintain internal controls; coordinate audits.
• Oversee accounting department and 2–3 direct reports.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor variances.
• Provide financial projections and strategic analysis.
• Maintain product margin reporting and pricing analysis.
• Ensure GAAP and SOX compliance across processes.
• Prepare capital expenditure justifications and reports.
• Manage inventories and asset controls.
