Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Senior Analyst Implementation Analyst to build and enhance data analytics, models, and reports for the Finance Department. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining data analytics structures and automating workflows across finance functions.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, 3+ years of analytical/modeling experience, and Python/data management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative finance, computer science, math, physics, or other appropriate fields.
• 3+ years' experience performing analytical analysis or development of models.
• Ability to program in Python and some fluency with data and data management concepts. Some familiarity with common Software Engineering Development and Production Practices.
• Working understanding of Financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support analytics and reports across Ameriprise Finance Department. Assist in the automation of analytical workflows within the Finance Organization.
• Partner with business and technology to model analytical workflows and reports within the organization. Design and implement data storage and retrieval solutions to assist Finance in their current activities.
• Analyze performance of analytics and reports. Investigate unexpected results, for example issues with data quality of inputs. Provide feedback on how to resolve issues and improve analytical performance.
• Communicate results to the business, identify model limitations and possible remediations.
