Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer (Finance) to own data models, pipelines, and governance for finance metrics. You will transform ERP and operational data into decision-ready assets, collaborating with FP&A, Accounting, and Finance leadership.

You’ll work with Looker and Omni, ensure audit-ready data contracts, and help drive AI-powered improvements across the analytics stack. This role sits in the Finance data platform team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analyst roles with Finance exposure.
• Expert SQL and production-grade data models and pipelines.
• Experience modeling ERP data (NetSuite/Oracle) and finance concepts (GL, revenue, COGS, margin).
• Experience with Looker, Omni; ability to design scalable semantic layers.
• Strong communication; translating Finance needs into technical solutions.
• Nice-to-have: dbt and Snowflake; interest in AI-powered tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and pipelines for revenue, ledger, COGS, margin, and forecasts.
• Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Finance to translate questions into reusable data products.
• Own data contracts and quality checks for finance datasets, ensuring audit-ready governance.
• Model data from ERP systems and integrate with operational sources for a unified finance view.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered workflows and strengthen documentation and lineage.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to evolve the data platform and best practices.
