Job summary

The City of Encinitas is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Finance Department. You will lead payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cashiering, with responsibilities in personnel budgeting and labor costing, and responsibility for implementing ERP modules.

The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of federal/state regulations, and the ability to work across multiple software platforms in a dynamic public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with public sector budgeting and government accounting.
• Ability to analyze payroll and labor costing data.
• Familiarity with government policies, MOAs, and ACFR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cashiering.
• Manage personnel budgeting and labor costing.
• Implement new and improved ERP modules.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.
