The Role
We're looking for a sharp, operationally-minded Senior Finance Analyst to serve as an embedded finance partner to our Go-To-Market organization — Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. Sitting within a lean, high-impact finance team at a fast-growing global AI and Agentic Tools company, you will bring financial rigor and accountability to the GTM cost structure, helping leadership make smart, data-driven investment decisions.
This role is on the core operational finance team, working for the Director of Finance – Budget and Cost Management. You will directly contribute to the company's consolidated planning, rolling forecasts, and monthly BVA rhythm, aligning GTM strategy and financial reality. You will be chartered to ensure that every dollar invested in the go-to-market motion is tracked, understood, and optimized.
What You'll Do
Financial Planning
Own and manage GTM OpEx budgets — analyzing trends, identifying cost drivers, and providing actionable insights to optimize resource allocation across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
Manage the annual budgeting process for GTM cost centers, working within the budget framework, while bringing current insights on changes to prior spending and new future investments needed.
Build and maintain headcount tracking and capacity planning support for GTM functions, partnering on workforce investment analyses.
Business Accountability
Act as the primary day-to-day finance business partner for GTM leadership — translating financial data into clear, decision-ready insights.
Drive the monthly BVA process for GTM stakeholders, identifying variances, surfacing trends, and driving accountability to investment plans and operating targets.
Challenge and advise GTM leaders on headcount, vendor spend, and program investments with confidence and clarity.
Financial Analysis
Conduct in-depth financial analyses — scenario modeling, efficiency assessments, and investment ROI reviews — with clear narratives and business insights.
Contribute GTM insights to board and CFO-level reporting to communicate the monthly trends and financial investments.
Collaborate cross-functionally on ad-hoc projects, contributing to a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
Process & Systems
Streamline and effectively utilize Abacum and ThoughtSpot Reporting to improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Apply AI and agent-based tools to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and GTM decision-making.
What You Bring
Experience: 4+ years of financial planning experience with meaningful GTM coverage, preferably within a SaaS or B2B technology environment.
Attention to Detail: High standards for accuracy and data integrity across all analyses and reporting.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Business Partnering Instincts: Strong ability to influence GTM leaders, drive accountability, and hold the line on the budget or allow hiring — drive the business, not just report the numbers.
Process Improvement: A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement — always asking how processes can be sharper, faster, and more scalable.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with financial modeling processes; hands-on experience with business planning software (we use Abacum); work in building analytics reports or dashboards. Comfort operating in a lean, fast-moving, tech-forward environment.
Experience working with a cross-cultural team, operating in multiple time zones.
AI & Data-Driven Finance: Stay current on emerging AI capabilities. Previously demonstrated ability to apply AI tools or agents to improve processes.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a STEM field
