Job summary

Mercor is seeking a senior finance domain expert to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team. You will review finance knowledge work quality, craft instruction specs, and build benchmarks that reflect real-world financial work. This hybrid Bay Area role requires on-site collaboration with client teams several days weekly.

You must have 5+ years in finance, deep domain expertise, and advanced credentials; strong writing is essential. Relocation to the Bay Area is required if not already based there.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive, dedicated professional finance experience at named institutions.
• Deep specialization in at least one core finance discipline.
• Advanced degree and/or recognized professional credentials preferred.
• Hands-on use of large language models in professional work.

Responsibilities

• Data QA and reviews of finance knowledge work tasks and model outputs.
• Write instruction specs and golden solutions for financial problems.
• Design finance benchmarks and domain-specific evaluation sets.
• Calibrate standards with researchers to ensure explicit criteria.
