Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior finance domain expert to work with a leading AI lab's research and program management teams, refining how frontier AI models reason about real financial work.

Your finance expertise will drive instruction specs, golden solutions, and benchmarks that define what is considered correct in professional finance tasks. This is a full-time, Bay Area-based role with on-site work requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive, dedicated professional finance experience at a recognized institution.
• Genuine specialization in at least one core finance discipline such as corporate finance/FP&A, investment banking/ M&A, asset or wealth management, PE/credit, or risk management.
• Advanced degree (MBA/MS/PhD) and/or CFA/CPA/FRM preferred.
• Hands-on working use of large language models in professional work and ability to assess model outputs.
• Willingness to relocate to the Bay Area at own cost; relocation assistance not provided.
• Availability to commit to 40 hours per week for an initial 6-month engagement.

Responsibilities

• Vet the quality of finance knowledge work tasks and model outputs, spotting gaps and flawed reasoning.
• Write high-quality instruction specs and golden solutions for financial problems.
• Design finance tasks, benchmarks, and evaluation sets with the research team.
• Translate tacit financial judgment into explicit, teachable criteria.
