Job summary

Rise Baking Company in Worcester, MA is seeking a Senior Filling & Dough Lead to oversee production line activities and ensure timely, high-quality product output. The position requires strong math, attention to detail, and knowledge of GMP sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents.
• Strong written communication and reporting skills.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rates and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment with varying levels of automation.
• Follow process instructions and document procedures and batch details.
• Spot-check batches and communicate schedule changes.
• Provide backup support to Supervisors and fill in as a technician when needed.
• Ensure product quality and correct use of filling materials.
• Maintain GMP and sanitation practices and manage equipment washouts.
• Coordinate transfer of product to production lines and prepare materials.
• Assist with cleaning, inventory, and storage of materials.
• Operate pallet jack and stacker when retrieving materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Senior Filling & Dough Lead

Full Time Worcester, MA, US

Salary Range: $27.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Job Description: To prepare quality products in a timely manner for the production line

Role and Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of operation of different types of process equipment with varying degrees of automation
• Comprehend/ follow processes control instructions and/or formula recipes/ procedures (including completing paperwork)
• Spot check of batches made
• Effectively communicate any batch schedule changes
• Backup support for Supervisors
• Can fill in as a technician as needed
• Responsible for quality of products, ensuring that the correct amounts of good quality filling materials are used
• Working knowledge of all sanitary practices as they pertain to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and equipment washouts
• Coordinate with Production personnel to successfully transfer product to the production lines
• Preparation of filling/ dough making materials for processing
• Assist in cleaning, maintaining and inventory of filling/ dough material storage areas
• Ability to use a manual pallet jack and stacker lift for retrieval of filling/ dough materials
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; exhibit basic math and counting skills
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Washington, and New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $27.00 to $30.00 per hour. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
