Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior File Transfer Administrator to support enterprise file transfer operations in a critical financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have ~10 years of experience with IBM Sterling and Axway platforms, strong Unix/Linux skills, and advanced troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring transfers, performing system upgrades, scripting for automation, and ensuring security/compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field with extensive IT experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on IBM Sterling Connect administration.
Hands-on IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) experience.
Experience with IBM Sterling SSP and Axway Security Transfer CFT.
Advanced Unix/Linux administration (RHEL/AIX) skills.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.
Proficient in Unix shell scripting (bash, ksh, etc.).
Knowledge of secure transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS/AS2).
Understanding of networking, file systems, SSL/TLS, and auth.
Experience supporting enterprise production environments and SLA adherence.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and troubleshoot IBM Sterling Connect, SFG, SSP, and Axway environments.
Monitor file transfer activities, analyze logs, and resolve failures.
Provide Unix/Linux administration support in RHEL/AIX.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
Develop shell scripts and automation to improve efficiency.
Utilize Ansible for configuration management and deployment.
Maintain availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams.
Provide production support, including on-call rotations.
