Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Associate’s with 10+ years, or high school diploma with 12+ years.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on IBM Sterling Connect administration.
• Minimum 3 years of IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) experience.
• Experience with IBM Sterling SSP and Axway CFT/SecureTransport.
• Advanced Unix/Linux administration (RHEL and/or IBM AIX).
• Strong troubleshooting including log analysis and production issue resolution.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting (Bash, KSH).
• Knowledge of secure file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/HTTPS, AS2, PeSIT).
• Understanding of networking, file systems, SSL/TLS, and auth mechanisms.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM Sterling Connect, SFG, SSP, and Axway CFT environments.
• Monitor file transfer activities, investigate logs, resolve transfer failures and connectivity issues.
• Provide advanced Unix/Linux administration and troubleshooting in RHEL/AIX environments.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and routine maintenance.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation to improve efficiency.
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
• Maintain system availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to support file transfers.
• Provide production support including on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance.
