Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, or international equivalent.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years in related roles.
• Experience with Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT).
• Knowledge of design codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, NFPA, IBC, SMACNA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates work activities for Project Field Engineer and Lead Field Welding engineer to implement site welding program.
• Implements and maintains Bechtel Field Welding program for all welding operations.
• Provides technical assistance to field superintendents and crafts.
• Ensures supervision and crafts are educated on applicable codes and project requirements.
• Reviews site Welding, PWHT and NDE subcontractor documentation for technical accuracy.
• Performs visual and other examinations per project procedures and standards.
• Implements Design Automation deliverables.
