Job summary

Merck's Animal Health division seeks a Professional Services Veterinarian to serve as coach, leader, and advisor in the Tri-State region. Field-based role with travel and collaboration across R&D, Learning and Development, Marketing, Veterinary Insights, Medical Affairs, and Sales.

You will deliver technical lectures, translate complex topics, and train regional sales reps. Requires DVM and 10+ years combined experience, strong presentation and communication skills, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree.
• 10 years of combined relevant experience, incl. 5+ years in clinical companion animal practice and 5+ years in animal health industry or leadership.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills; strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to translate complex issues for diverse audiences; cross-functional collaboration.
• Competency with MS Office and industry software (Salesforce, Veeva, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Act as regional technical expert; coach sales reps on technical selling skills.
• Deliver technical lectures to key customers, strategic accounts, and veterinary organizations.
• Partner with Regional Sales Manager to execute business strategy in the Tri-State region.
• Engage with key opinion leaders at clinical and university settings to explore opportunities.
• Represent Animal Health at veterinary schools and conferences; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
