Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Field Tester III to validate autonomous vehicle software through real-world and simulation testing, plus system analysis. You will contribute to automation, identify risks, and work with engineering to refine validation strategies, while hands-on with test vehicles and infrastructure.

The role emphasizes scalable validation and collaboration across software and systems teams, with strong emphasis on safety and thorough documentation of test results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software or hardware testing, validation engineering, or QA.
• Experience in real-world and simulation testing environments.
• Basic scripting with Python, Bash, or similar for automation.
• Familiarity with Jira and Jama for defect tracking and requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify risks.
• Ability to collaborate with software and systems engineers.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support advanced validation testing in real-world and simulation environments.
• Develop scalability and validation strategies to ensure reliable performance.
• Troubleshoot complex system behaviors and assist engineering teams to diagnose root causes.
• Contribute to test automation using Python or Bash scripting.
• Analyze test data and performance metrics to identify improvements.
• Operate and test construction or heavy equipment following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering and scrum teams for new software releases.
• Document and track defects using Jira and Jama.
• Support integration testing of onboard and offboard systems and test infra.
• Propose improvements to validation frameworks and testing processes.
• Participate in on-site and off-site test operations as needed.
