Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join our Baton Rouge team. You will perform field observation, sampling, testing, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.

Collaborate closely with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in the Field Services department.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• General industry OSHA 10 may be required.
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.
• Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results.
• Performs calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks.
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials.
• Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution.
• Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
