Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Dallas seeks a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join the field services team. You will perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel on construction sites under senior staff guidance.

We provide professional development and certifications through ECS and partner programs; a valid driver’s license and ability to lift heavy loads are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related field testing experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain current basic level certifications and two advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle to travel to job sites; mileage reimbursed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs, occasionally up to 85 lbs.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to read maps and engineering plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites (soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel).
• Conduct routine field tests following industry standards and approved methodologies.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and prepare field reports documenting site observations.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes to supervisors.
