Job summary

ECS Limited in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join the Field Services team. You’ll work with project managers to safely perform tests, sampling, and inspections on construction sites, documenting observations and reporting findings with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of field experience, a HS diploma or GED, current basic certifications plus two advanced certifications; OSHA 10 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of related field experience.
• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Maintain current basic certifications and obtain two advanced ones.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Field activities include observation, testing, sampling, and inspection.
• Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and steel placement.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and draft field reports documenting observations.
• Maintain clear communication with site contractors and project teams.
• Receive training in ECS methods and document findings precisely.
