Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician for our San Antonio team. The role emphasizes on-site observation, testing, sampling, and reporting under guidance from senior staff to ensure compliance and quality.

You will work with project management to perform tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, lava, and other materials, while advancing your professional certifications and development through ECS opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel) on construction sites.
• Conduct routine field tests following industry standards using appropriate equipment.
• Collect and reduce data; draft field reports documenting site observations.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; inform teams of changes.
• Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings precisely.
