Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Engineer, Services Engineer for Global Hawk support. This role involves backfill shelter support to the US Air Force and FMS programs globally, requiring a SECRET clearance and US citizenship. Part-time hours (approx.

2 hours/week when not deployed) with short-term CONUS/OCONUS assignments anticipated. Responsibilities include system research, design, troubleshooting, and interface with customers to define deployment requirements.

Qualifications

Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET clearance required before start date.
U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Willingness for short-term CONUS/OCONUS assignments for operational support.

Responsibilities

Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers for fielded software.
Determine root causes; design and implement solutions or coordinate with engineers.
Interface with customers to address technical, operational, and deployment requirements.
Assess end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities and data inputs.
Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
Develop and coordinate plans to meet customer requirements.
Analyze system performance against technical requirements.
Research hardware/software improvements and make recommendations.
Design and implement LAN/WAN configurations for site needs.
Resolve issues to support Launch/Recovery Element operations.
Perform maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of IT systems.
Collaborate with customer representatives and provide status updates.
